What is an inset corner?
Inset corners, in which a convex angled piece is sewn into a concave angled corner, are tricky to sew. Getting the outside corner to fit into the inside corner without a pucker, a gap, or undue bulk takes precise sewing.
Why set a seam in quilting?
What does this do? It sinks (or sets) your stitches into the fabric and really allows your seam to be pressed flat in the next step. It also smooths out any wrinkles or puckers which can be caused by tension issues or uneven stitches.
How do you make quilt seams lay flat?
Pressing the material with a steam iron or even some starch will make it lay flat, and will make the cutting process simpler and more accurate.
Is it hard to sew mesh?
